Funny Things Kids Say! Angry Ducks.
Written by Lisa on Saturday 22 April 2006
While watching the children play outside my mums mobile home today, we were accosted by a brood of very loud ducks.
A river runs right past her caravan site and every now and then the ducks come up to be fed. Normally our kids can't get their bread quick enough but today they were a little afraid.
Rachel asked me why the ducks were fighting, and sure enough when I looked, two of the ducks did seem to be quacking very loudly while pecking and jumping at one another. I told the kids to stay away and then drew my mums attention to the spectacle.
She laughed and pointed out that the ducks were in fact not fighting but engaging in "an act of love".
I felt like I was about 3 years old! I'm sure that she, like me will be telling her friends this evening about the silly things her daughter said today and laugh at the innocence of it all.
It's nice to know we don't grow out of being naive!

I am starting a collection
I am starting a collection of the funny things my kids and friends kids say. I thought I would share one with you..
I was walking down a very busy street in Leichhardt called Norton Street with my three daughters. When we were passing a funeral parlour the doors to the garage opened and out drove a hearse which blocked our way on the footpath. Everybody was quiet and I am sure were saying silent prayers to themselves as there was a coffin inside that was arranged with beautiful flowers and ribbons. The hearse could not enter the street as the traffic was very busy so more and more were standing there silently looking at this hearse when all of a sudden my 4 year old daughter said at the top of her lungs “Look mummy somebody’s getting a huge present!” We all started laughing out loud much to the horrified look of the driver.
